Ed Lank
Edward Lank is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the University of Waterloo where he co-founded and co-directs the Human-Computer Interaction Lab. Alongside academic appointments, he has served as Associate Director and as Associate Director of Undergraduate Studies of the Cheriton School of Computer Science at the University of Waterloo. Prior to his position at the University of Waterloo, he served on the faculty of San Francisco State University, as a post-doctoral intern at Xerox PARC, and as an adjunct professor at Queen’s University during his Ph.D. studies.
Ed’s research spans all aspects of Human-Computer Interaction, including low-level movement modeling, interaction techniques, system building, and design. A National Science Foundation Career Award Recipient, he has supervised over 50 research associates, including post-doctoral fellows, graduate students, and undergraduate research assistants.
