Posters and Demonstrations

We are excited to announce that Graphics Interface’23 (May 30 – June 2, Victoria, BC, Canada) is accepting submissions of posters and demonstrations. The conference will provide a platform for researchers and practitioners to present and discuss work-in-progress ideas and insights related to topics in the areas of graphics, human-computer interaction, and visualization.

Examples of posters and demonstrations include:

Posters: visual presentations that summarize research ideas, early research results, design processes, or methods in a concise and engaging manner.

Demonstrations: displays of interactive systems or prototypes that showcase innovative ideas and concepts. These typically include live presentations or performances that engage the audience through interactive demonstrations.

Important Dates:
Round 1:
Submission deadline: March 1 March 15, EoD AoE
Notification deadline: March 31, EoD

Round 2:
Submission deadline: April 15, EoD AoE
Notification deadline: April 30, EoD

Submission Guidelines:

Posters: should be designed to not exceed dimensions 4 x 4 feet.

Demonstrations: Please clearly indicate any additional setup or infrastructure beyond a standard conference table and electrical outlet.

All submissions should include a maximum 1-page write-up (excluding references) describing the research work in IEEE format (http://junctionpublishing.org/vgtc/Tasks/camera.html ). The write-up should consist of a brief abstract (150 words), a clear description of the research problem or opportunity and a description of the proposed solution grounded in relevant related works.  Please also submit accompanying videos when relevant. Submissions will be reviewed by the poster and demonstration co-chairs based on their relevance, originality, and potential contribution to the field.
