The CHCCS/SCDHM Achievement and Service Awards are recommended by the CHCCS Awards Committee, based on nominations received from the research community. Other awards are recommended by subcommittees. Best paper and best poster awards are recommended by the program committees for each year’s Graphics Interface conference. The current committee and subcommittee members are the following for awards.

Canadian Digital Media Pioneer Awards
These awards are not given out every year. The Achievement and Service Awards committee considers suggestions from the community that can be submitted at any time.
Michael A. J. Sweeney Best Student Paper Awards
The winning papers are selected by the conference program chairs in consultation with their program committee.
Best Poster Awards
The winning posters selection process is coordinated by the conference posters chair, and is typically done by popular vote among participants at the conference.
