Xue Bin Peng is an Assistant Professor of Computing Science at Simon Fraser University and a Research Scientist at NVIDIA. His work focuses on developing motion control techniques to enable artificial agents to replicate the natural and agile movements of humans and animals, with applications in computer graphics and robotics. He received a Ph.D. from UC Berkeley under the supervision of Sergey Levine and Pieter Abbeel. He also received an M.Sc. and B.Sc. from the University of British Columbia under the supervision of Michiel van de Panne. His work has been recognized with an Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award from SIGGRAPH 2022, a Best Paper Award from Robotics: Science and Systems 2020, and a Best Student Paper Award from the Symposium on Computer Animation 2017.
